Group Breathing Therapy
A Weekly Break Just for Yourself
We often think we’re the only ones feeling this way. That we’re the only ones feeling uncertain, that it’s only hard for us to let go, or that we’re the only ones searching for answers.
The strength of the group lies in the realization that, although we come from different backgrounds, we often long for the same things—more peace, freedom, and the ability to live our lives in a way that is more true to ourselves.

Arrival and
conversation
With a brief conversation, we’ll bring ourselves into the present moment and tune in to what you’ve come here for.
Statement of intent,
option to select a topic
If you have a specific topic in mind, we'll start with that. If not, that's perfectly fine, too—breathing often leads you exactly where you need to be.
Conscious
coordinated breathing
Through our breath, we connect to those layers that words can no longer reach.
Integration and
derivation
We're giving it time for everything that has happened to settle and fall into place.
Share
possibility
If you'd like, you can share your experiences, ask questions, or we can simply create a space together for whatever has emerged during the process.
Breathing therapy works with your most ancient tool: with your breath. It helps you release everything your body once held inside and reconnect with those parts of yourself that were once pushed into the background for the sake of survival.
Do these sound familiar to you, too?
You've already tried a lot of things. Therapy, meditation, self-help books—you understand it intellectually, yet the same patterns keep repeating themselves.
You have a hard time saying no. You often prioritize the needs of others, while your own needs take a back seat.
You're always lost in your own thoughts. Even when you could be resting, you're dwelling on the past or the future.
You're used to being the one who keeps everything together. Now you'd like to finally be the one who's held together.
We do not teach
We don't tell you what to feel. We simply provide a space for you to discover what is already present within you.

Aligned by Dorka
Breathing has been my guide on this journey for years—a tool that helped me reconnect with my body when my mind could no longer help me. ALIGNED was born from this experience: a space where you don’t have to explain yourself, just be present.
I don't teach technique just for the sake of technique. I create a space for you to discover for yourself what your body is capable of.

Aligned by Dorka
My name is Dorka—I’m a trauma-informed breathing therapist, life and sports coach, and the founder of ALIGNED.
Eighteen years of competitive sports and several years of experience as a coach and sports mental trainer have taught me that performance—and change—are never decided solely in the mind.
For a long time, I thought I needed even more knowledge. I read books, learned techniques, and went to therapy. Although I came to understand a great deal about myself, I felt that my body still held onto everything I had long since processed in my mind.
The turning point came with breathwork therapy. Even the very first session opened up depths within me that I hadn’t been able to access even after three years of talk therapy. That’s when I realized that, for real change to happen, we must also involve the body in the process.
This gave rise to ALIGNED—a space where we engage the body in the process through breathing, so that transformation can take place not only in the mind but also on the physical, emotional, and neurological levels.

Frequently Asked Questions Questions.
What is breathing therapy/mindful connected breathing?
Conscious connected breathing is a deep breathing process in which there is no pause between inhalation and exhalation, so the breath flows continuously.
This breathing pattern affects the body’s chemistry: it alters the oxygen-carbon dioxide balance in the blood and the activity of the nervous system, which can support a state of deep relaxation where the functions responsible for constant analysis and control recede into the background, while processes related to body awareness and emotional processing are given greater space. This allows us to connect with feelings and deeper inner processes that we cannot always access through thought or conversation alone.
Is trauma-informed breathwork right for me?
Constant stress, the need to conform, suppressed emotions, and internal pressure affect not only our thoughts but also how we feel in our bodies and in our daily lives.
Breathing therapy can help you let go of everyday stress and tension, gain a clearer sense of your own boundaries, say “no” more easily, make decisions with greater confidence, improve your performance, and live a more balanced, fulfilling life.
I don't have any experience with breathing exercises. Is that a problem?
Not at all. No prior experience is necessary. We'll go over everything in detail at the beginning of the process so you can feel safe.
What does "trauma-informed" mean?
This means that the safety of your nervous system is our top priority throughout our work together. We do not force catharsis, we do not push you past any emotional barriers by force, and you do not have to relive painful experiences from the past. We respect your body’s current capacity, and we proceed at a pace that allows your nervous system to integrate the changes.
What should I expect during a session?
Each session begins with a period of tuning in; here—if you’d like—you can also set an intention. This is followed by a series of conscious, connected breaths while lying down with your eyes closed, accompanied by music. The session concludes with a meditative phase and integration.
How many sessions are needed?
Even the very first session can bring deep relief and mental calm. But just as the tension didn’t build up in your body overnight, letting go of old patterns is also an internal process. Our nervous system needs time and safe repetition to develop a new, freer way of functioning.
Are there any medical contraindications?
For your safety, conscious connected breathing should not be practiced during pregnancy, or if you have cardiovascular disease, untreated high blood pressure, epilepsy, glaucoma, active asthma, severe mental or emotional crises (e.g., psychosis, bipolar disorder, active suicidal thoughts), or if you have undergone surgery within the past 6 months.
If any of these apply to you, please let us know in advance: in that case, we’ll completely adapt the process to use gentle breathing techniques that are safe for you but still effective.
